Dawn is an executive coach, organizational development consultant, and dynamic facilitator passionate about helping people, teams, and organizations perform at their peak.
For over 25 years, Dawn has developed leaders and cultivated engaged teams around the world. She has served in variety of leadership roles in Human Resources (HR) and Talent Management for Fortune 500 companies. She is results-oriented and has demonstrated the ability to deliver in rapidly changing environments. During her career, she received global recognition for her performance as a HR business partner and cultural champion.
Recently, Dawn had the opportunity to reflect on what matters most to her. Her role at Stryker Corporation was taking her further away from the work she loved, coaching and developing people. Simultaneously, she saw an increased need for support as leaders struggle in today’s hyper-connected world. They are overworked, overloaded, and out of focus. Wanting to have a greater personal impact, she traded in her corporate badge to start her own coaching and consulting practice, DPS Leadership, LLC
In her coaching, Dawn focuses on helping people get off the hamster wheel of life, chart their own course, and enjoy their ride. As a catalyst for her client’s best thinking, Dawn helps individuals and team put their attention on their intentions through conscious and strengths-based leadership. She tailors her comprehensive approach to each individual and team. Some of the tools in her toolbox include the Clifton StrengthsFinder and the Korn Ferry Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI). She also draws from her experience as a certified Corporate Athlete facilitator with the Human Performance Institute.
More specifically, Dawn accelerates growth by helping leaders and teams understand and leverage their unique strengths through deeper self-awareness. Her clients are drawn to her positive energy and count on her as a trusted partner. She is compassionate, candid and creative.
Dawn earned her Coach Certification from Columbia University, completed an Executive Coach Certification Program with Assenter Coaching, and has been a Gallup Strengths Performance Coach since 2008. She also earned a master’s degree in Adult Education and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology both from North Carolina State University.
As active member of the International Coaching Federation, Raleigh Chapter; the Triangle Organizational Development Network; and the Association for Talent Development, Research Triangle Area Chapter (of which she is a Past-President), Dawn constantly hones her craft and shares her experience.
When Dawn isn’t helping leaders “put their oxygen mask on first”, she may be found traveling, cheering for her favorite sports teams, running on the trails around town, or most likely chasing her twin girls with her husband.
