Cutting Edge Conversations:  Breaking Barriers: Moving Clients from a Fixed to a Growth Mindset

Attendees will discuss their experiences of working with clients that are in a fixed frame of mind and how they successfully moved them towards growth and empowerment

•    What signs do we as coaches see that indicate a client is “stuck” due to a fixed mind frame?
•    What strategies to we use to break down their barriers to move them away from what they’ve always done, what they should do, or what is causing them to remain stuck
•    What are the most common reasons people battle the barriers towards growth
•    What strategies have they found to be successful to get clients to acknowledge their resistance,  be open to other ways of thinking and break the barriers that stop them from achieving their goals

Dina Maloney has been assisting individuals, teams, companies and clients to achieve personal and organizational success for more than 25 years.  Her ability to lead others to peak performance, implement innovative methods and solutions, facilitate engaging and interactive workshops and serve as a catalyst for change and excellence have contributed to her solid reputation as a successful leader, mentor, coach, innovator and educator.  Dina earned a Master of Arts Degree in Communication Media from Barry University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a minor in Communication from Florida State University. She currently serves as  Co-Founder of EPIC Coaching and Consulting, offering personal development, career and business coaching to people of all ages and in all stages of life as well as consulting and skills development training to small and mid-sized businesses to help them achieve maximum profitability and productivity. She is a contributing coach for The Impact Center’s Women’s Executive Leadership Program, The Bridges Academic Leadership Program for Women, and The Statarius LeaderStep7 Program. Additionally, Dina serves on the Education and Membership Committees for the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Global and Raleigh Chapters of the International Federation of Coaches. Dina is a motivational speaker, and is in the process of earning her certification as an Authentic Leadership Coach and her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential through the ICF.
