How do you as a coach promote direct communication with your clients?
Josefina Webster, Facilitator

Direct communication is the ICF 7th competency -  “Communicating effectively during coaching sessions, and using language that has the greatest positive impact on the client.”

Direct communication is about using skills such as giving honest feedback, using clear positive language and paraphrasing to offer a different point of view. The coach shares her/his observations about what is happening in the coaching sessions helping the client to receive the feedback and act constructively. Therefore, how do we promote direct communication with our clients?
