Using Metaphors in Coaching 

We will address the use of metaphor in coaching.  Participants will provide examples of the successful use of metaphor in guiding coaching clients towards insight.  Coaches will also discuss how to introduce and establish metaphors that clients find helpful.  Another area of inquiry will be the structure and pace of a coaching session and how metaphor can make a session more efficient and powerful.

The facilitator is Stephen Bowers, ACC, a partner of SB Consultants. 

In his coaching and consulting, Stephen helps people discover truths about themselves.  Through careful listening and precise questioning, he encourages people to dream and to make their dreams real through action.  Stephen brings profound respect for his clients and for their aspirations to his work.  Clients know he has their back.

Stephen holds a certificate in evidence-based coaching from the Fielding Graduate University, a master’s in educational administration from Augusta University, and a master’s in French literature from The American University.
