OPEN ENROLLMENT!  ALL ICF-RAC MEMBERS AND AFFILIATES WELCOME.

A group of approximately 20 ICF-Raleigh Area Chapter members, affiliates and guests have met twice to organize a new ICF-RAC Business Development Special Interest Group (SIG).

An Open Enrollment Kick-Off Meeting will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Eva Perry Regional Library, 2100 Shepherd's Vineyard Drive, Apex, NC 27502. All interested ICF-RAC members and affiliates are welcome to attend this meeting to learn more about the Business Development SIG. At this Kick-Off meeting, we will:

  • ·         Meet other potential SIG members
  • ·         Review SIG mission and guidelines
  • ·         Obtain participant buy-in
  • ·         Develop a connection to build trust

The primary goal of the ICF-RAC Business Development SIG is to help group members build their coaching practices and acquire more paying clients.

This goal is supported by covering topics such as:

  • ·         Business Development
  • ·         Marketing and Promotion
  • ·         Developing a Successful Mindset

And supporting activities such as:

  • ·         Holding each other accountable
  • ·         Coaching on each other’s businesses
  • ·         Hearing from successful coaches

Membership is open to ICF-RAC members and affiliates. Enrollment will close on June 8th and no additional members will be added during the four-month SIG.

ICF-RAC Business Development SIG members will be expected to attend regularly scheduled sessions and can be removed if more than one meeting is missed. This SIG will be self-run so members will be asked to volunteer to help with meeting set-up, speaker and leader recruitment, meeting facilitation and area of expertise presentations. The Business Development SIG will be a “Community of Practice” for a four-month period and will enroll up to 16 people for its first round. There will be eight total meetings – two In-person and six Zoom meetings during the four-month period. Meetings will last approximately two hours per session and may alternate between presentation workshop format and Mastermind format. This organization allows a mix between learning skills and providing Coaching/Mentoring and accountability in the application of those skills. The final meeting will be held in-person as a wrap-up to discuss “best practices” learned and to evaluate the initial format. The ICF-RAC Business Development SIG process may be opened again and repeated as desired.
