Ethics Webinar:
Using Direct Communication Without Being Directive

Tuesday, February 26, 2019

We are excited to welcome back Dr. Michael J. Marx!

One of the greatest challenges facing a coach is knowing how to use direct communication without being directive. This webinar will focus on the ethical ramifications of going too far, which can result in offending the client. Professionalism in coaching means finding the balance between helping the client with what they want and providing them with what they need. This session will help you ensure that you have the client’s best interests at heart.

Learning points:

  • Enhancing the benefits of direct communication without the drawbacks of being overly directive
  • Distinguishing between the ICF Core Competencies and the Code of Ethics
  • Safeguarding your coaching from overstepping the sensitive line of too much direct communication
