New ICF Competencies
Excitement or Fear?

Wednesday, May 27, 2020
4:30-6:00pm

NOTE:  Once you register you will receive a confirmation email that will contain a .pdf handout.  Review the handout and watch the six minute video link within the handout as pre-work for this CEC.

ICF has updated the Core Competencies with the expectation of rolling those out next year.  There are a range of reactions to the new Core Competencies so we want to discuss where you fall.  Are you excited about the changes or are you feeling a little bit of fear?

We want to explore some of these questions:

  • How do you feel about this change?
  • Which of the changes are you most uncomfortable with and why?
  • Which of the changes do you welcome?
  • What are you doing to prepare for these changes?
  • What would you like to see the chapter do to help you prepare for these changes?
  • Are there any other ways you would like to be supported as we go through these changes?
  • Are there any other ways you would like to be supported as we go through these changes?
  • How will this impact me if I am working toward a credential?
  • What re-training will be required?
