CCEU's:  1.5 Core Competencies

MEET THE NEW COMPETENCIES
Wednesday, May 13
12:00-1:30pm
virtually through Zoom

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
In any profession, it is best practice to perform a job analysis regularly to ensure a competency model remains a valid and accurate reflection of professional practice.  ICF last conducted a job analysis in 2008, and our profession has since grown and evolved significantly.

Over the past 2 years the ICF has engaged in a rigorous analysis of how our jobs have evolved and what is needed for the future. During this workshop you will be introduced to how the Core competencies will evolve over the next year while increasing oyour awareness to what these change might mean for you and your flients.

Ultimately, the updated Core Competency model will serve as the basis for the ICF credentialing process.  For now, lets get you up to speed on the changes.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Increase your awareness of the new competencies
  • Take a deeper dive into the richness and nuances of the competencies in action
  • Gain clarity to how current Core Competencies 2-11 have evolved to the new Core Competencies 1-8
