One of the strengths of ICF-RAC Cutting Edge Conversations has been the quality of the conversation and the learning that came from that. But then came the pandemic, and Zoom delivered a way of keeping up our important programming. But Zoom is a medium more naturally suited for passing on information than for engendering thoughtful conversation. We are isolated, can’t see the group easily, and consequently tend to talk to the facilitator rather than one another – if we talk at all. This limits our sources and depth of learning. In this CEC we will try to remedy this. We are going to experiment with a structure that encourages full participation and endeavors to capture the richness of face-to-face Cutting Edge Conversations.
