CEC: Reflections on your 2021 One Word!

As part of the ICF Raleigh Programs, we start each year with the One Word: Cutting Edge Conversations. Many of you attended the two sessions in January where you set your intention and your One Word.

As we approach year end, it is a great opportunity to reconnect and reflect on your One Word and how it lived, showed up and impacted your year!

If you did not attend the January sessions and don't have a ONE Word... Please still join us! This will be an interesting discussion and an opportunity to think about your One Word intention for 2022!

The Story of the ONE WORD!

  • Every New Year 87 percent of adults create new resolutions, only to experience frustrating results, false starts and failure.
  • 50 percent will stick to their resolutions through January.

  • Most resolutions are “to-do” goals rather than “to-be” goals.

  • Instead of resolutions, the One Word idea is to simplify our way of being to one word  - found this creates renewed clarity, meaning, power and passion for the year.

  • Your One Word for the year can change the way you think, the words you speak, the attitudes of your heart, your relationships and actions.

In this Cutting Edge Conversation we will explore:

  • What One Word you choose to set your intention for 2021 and how did you come to choose it?
  • How did your One Word impact or change the way you live/show up each day?
  • How did your One Word stretch you outside your comfort zone?
  • How can you encourage clients to explore the One Word approach to set intentions in 2022?
