Come and discuss with chapter members and leadership the topic of “pro-bono coaching” and how the chapter should provide, enable, support, and offer pro-bono coaching.
Some options currently under discussion include:
providing referrals from interested organizations to individual coaches
identifying non-profit organizations that would be officially supported as ICF-RAC pro bono coaching recipients
identifying other (for-profit) organizations that might offer leads to paid coaching engagements and paying clients
forming a Special Interest Group of coaches offering pro bono coaching
And we want to hear your thoughts!
Pro bono coaching is when a coach conducts a session with the client either free or at significantly reduced cost. Many professionals offer their pro bono services to non-profit organizations, such as educational institutions, healthcare facilities, foundations, charities, etc.
Pro bono coaching can serve several purposes:
Offering the benefits of coaching to individuals who might not be able to pay for it
Building the leadership capacity of non-profit organizations
Contributing the community in support of the goals of non-profit organizations
Building your reputation as a coach
Growing your coaching hours for credentialing requirements
Generation of leads for paid coaching clients
