Developing Resilience
This session integrates personal stories of post-traumatic growth using the PERMA method for developing well-being and resilience. PERMA is a scientific framework that explains how to flourish and be happy. It consists of five components: positive emotion, engagement, positive relationships, meaning, and accomplishment.
Session outcomes include:
1. Methods for practicing self-reflection and learning to control and manage emotions.
2. Develop resilience skills to improve a coach's ability to be flexible and adapt to changing client needs.
3. Enhance the coach's comfort with uncertainty, allowing them to stay present and confident even in challenging coaching situations.
4. Assist coaches in refueling their own emotional and mental resources, ensuring they can maintain presence and actively listen during coaching sessions.
By incorporating resilience training, coaches can strengthen their ability to embody a coaching mindset, ultimately enhancing their effectiveness in supporting clients' growth and development.
