Co-Lab: Noticing Non-verbals

Speaker: Pat Healy

April 22, 2025

12:00 - 1:15 pm ET

CCEUs - CC 1.25, RD 0.0

This event is co-hosted with ICF NYC, the Competency Co-Lab, is a monthly series for coaches to elevate their mastery of the ICF Core Competencies. Experience structured practice drills, interactive learning, and a supportive community. The Competency Co-Lab bridges theory and practical application, so you can seamlessly integrate your learnings into your coaching practice.

Each session unveils a drill specially designed around a Core Competency. Drill by drill, gain mastery over the full range of Competencies.

The April Co-Lab will be focused on “Noticing Non-verbals.”

We will enhance our coaching presence and “listening” skills by attuning to non-verbal cues (e.g., tone of voice, physicality, energy) and recognizing what is not being said to enrich the depth and effectiveness of the coaching conversation.

Bring your adventurous spirit, your sense of play and fun, and of course, a coaching topic!

Pat Healy helps humans develop the knowledge, skills, habits, and systems they want to learn faster, perform better, and reach their potential in school, work, and life.

He feeds his passion for developing people in three main ways. He’s been a learning experience designer for over a decade, building face-to-face and online learning and development programs for organizations like The International Monetary Fund, Harvard Business School, Wayfair, and many more. Over the years, he’s helped government officials understand economics, business professionals learn how to negotiate, and product managers learn how to speak engineer.

Next, in consulting he’s advised executives and organizations on thorny people, performance, and culture issues, partnering with them to design solutions that enhance individual, team, and org performance.

Finally, through coaching. He’s begun coaching high school and college students to achieve their academic goals and young professionals to find jobs and excel in careers they love. A recovering perfectionist, he also enjoys working with anxious achievers of all ages to transform their self-talk and habits and live more purposeful, balanced, empowered lives.
